What is BookToilet?

BookToilet is a pilot program that helps people find nearby places where they can use a toilet, while supporting local neighborhood businesses.

What do I need to do to join the pilot?

You only need to:
• Fill in your place details (place name + address)
• Confirm where we should send your QR stickers (same as your place address or a different delivery address)

How does it work for visitors?

Visitors scan your QR sticker and see your place page. From there they can follow the instructions shown on the page when they arrive.

Helps visitors confirm they’re in the right place when they arrive.

🚻 On the WC door (required)
The QR code goes on the WC door in the shop — this is where visitors scan and pay.

Simple flow:

Find the place → enter the shop → scan at the WC → use the toilet ✅

Can I pause my place?

Yes. You can set your status to Paused anytime. This is useful if your toilet is temporarily unavailable or if you’re not ready to show the spot publicly.

Do I have to offer toilet access all the time?

No. You control availability. If access depends on staff presence or specific times, add that in your description/opening hours.

Is it free for visitors?

That depends on your shop policy. BookToilet can work with different setups (free access, paid access, customer-only, etc.). Make sure your description reflects your policy clearly.

What information is shown publicly?

Your place page can show:
• Place name
• Address
• Optional description
• Opening hours (if provided)
• Photos (if uploaded)

You can edit this anytime.

Do I need to upload photos?

No, photos are optional. They help visitors recognize the place and can increase trust.

How do I update my place details later?

Go to My Place, make changes, and press Save.

I changed my address / sticker delivery address — what now?

Update your address in My Place. We’ll use the latest delivery address on file.

What if I made a mistake and my page looks wrong?

No problem. Update your place details anytime in My Place. If you want us to double-check your setup, email info@booktoilet.com.

What if the QR code doesn’t work?

Try:
1) Scan it with a different phone camera/app
2) Check your public preview in the dashboard
If it still doesn’t work, email info@booktoilet.com and we’ll fix it quickly.

Can I remove my place from BookToilet?

Yes. You can pause your place anytime. If you want to fully remove it, contact info@booktoilet.com.

How does revenue sharing work?

Each paid visit is shared 50:50 between BookToilet and the partner, after payment processing fees and VAT.

The starting price is expected to be from €1 per visit. Final pricing may vary slightly during the pilot phase.
